Here at Canvasflow, we strive to deliver the best responsive authoring platform out there. With this in mind, we’ve ramped up the options available to you at column-level, ensuring you have the tools to create the perfect layout.

No Restrictions

With this update you’re no longer restricted to equal-split columns! As an example, you’re now able to have three columns split 50/25/25. This change was made because while we want to keep the content creation process simple, more control over columns allows more freedom over the design – something we definitely don’t want to stifle!

This feature is particularly useful when used with images, such as having 50% width image next to two columns filled with text. There’s a tonne of ways you can design your layouts now, and we’ve already seen some interesting uses for the new column system.

Tablet Orientation Support

Previously columns would automatically collapse down on a tablet portrait view, we’ve changed this so that now columns will only collapse on smartphone devices. This means multi columns now remain consistent across desktop and tablets, regardless of device orientation.

Collapse Override

We understand there are times when your content doesn’t benefit from collapsing on mobile, so with this release you now have the power to keep your column structures rigid.

Your existing content is already compatible, so use the edit icon next to the column block and take control of your layout. Help documentation for working with columns can be found here.
